Office Manager - Melanie Westbrook, will greet you at the door with a smile and answer all your questions. She was a student at Goodman School of Dance and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University on North Carolina at Charlotte with a Masters in Early Childhood education. Mrs. Melanie is Miss Holly’s mom and the one who lovingly takes care of everyone at the dance studio and keeps us all organized.
Owner and teacher - Holly Westbrook, started taking dance when she was 3 years old and has been teaching at Motion Dance Studio since she was 15. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a minor in Child and Family Development. Miss Holly loves sharing her passion for dance with students of all ages and levels and enjoys taking time to get to know each one of them. She believes the dance studio should be a positive environment where everyone feels like friends and family. Miss Holly also teaches Transitional Kindergarten at First Kids Preschool in Downtown Concord.
Competition Coordinator and teacher - Megan McLaughlin, has been dancing her whole life. She has won first place honors and top overall dance competition awards for both solo and group dances as well as many pageant titles. Ms. Megan is a professional cheerleader for the Carolina Panthers and owns Selah Salon and Spa in Locust. She teaches a variety of classes and choreographs our competition team dances. She always pushes her students to challenge themselves to be their own personal best.
Teacher - Samantha Coyte, brings so much fun and energy into her classes. She also uses her creativity and enthusiasm to help with all dance studio events. Ms Sam graduated from Stanly Community College with an associates degree in Science and works as a veterinary technician at Animal Care Clinic in Concord. She also has a son, Camden and an 8 year old daughter, McKenzie who has been dancing at Motion for 5 years.
Lindsey Wilkinson is a former dancer with 18+ years of training, including dancing competitively and teaching.
Lindsey graduated from Appalachian State University with a BA in Communications. She got her group exercise certifications and was a fitness instructor for Zumba, Cardio Dance, and Strength classes at the Greater Charlotte YMCAs. She's continued her dance education by attending National conventions with world-renowned choreographers like Wade Robson and Mia Michaels. She is currently an Aquafit instructor at Sports Center Athletic Club in Concord.
Lindsey and her husband, Jay, have two daughters, Grace and Charlotte, who are students at Motion Dance Studio. Lindsey is thrilled to be back in the studio to share her love of dance with the Motion Dance Studio family.
Tamsey Smith is an experienced fitness instructor, educator and presenter. She is passionate about helping people improve the quality of their lives through movement and healthy lifestyle education. Tamsey has a degree in elementary education, as well as multiple fitness licenses and certifications and was a Reebok Sponsored Athlete in 2020. She teaches Barre, Mat Pilates, cycling, HIIT and weightlifting group fitness classes at Sportscenter in Concord, NC and Gold’s Gym in Harrisburg and Concord, NC. Tamsey is married to Nathan Smith and has 3 children - Ella, Eoin and Eden, who has danced at Motion Dance Studio since 2015 - and a mini schnauzer named Sebastian.
